A simple cottage in a small, picturesque village in a beautiful valley. It sleeps four (a double room and a room with two single beds). There is a living/dining room, a kitchen and a shower room. There is an extensive, wild garden with two private terraces. The converted barn has a kitchen/living room, a double room and two bunk beds. Internet access is available in the next village, or if it is crucial to you, give us a ring and we will see what we can arrange.

Saint Sulpice sur Cele is on the river Cele, a tributary of the Lot. It is 60km from Cahors, 27km from Figeac (both have elegant shops), 14km from Cajarc. ( Michelin guide Dordogne, Berry,Limousin). The chief attraction out of season is the calm. There are occasional cars or tractors but the background  noises are the birds, the river and the children playing in the ecole maternelle. Flowers ( a good range of orchids  in May) and butterflies are wonderful. There are good visits, e.g. Rocamadour, St Cirq Lapopie, and the vernacular architecture is as harmonious as any in Europe. In season there is a pool in the village. We swim in the river, which has a quality monitoring station at the bathing place. There is a tennis court in the next village. There are farmers' markets in the local villages and many 2- or 3- day village fetes votives with petanque competitions, dancing and meals where one can sit down more than 300. Or one can read quietly and watch the pilgrims passing.
